A CHARTER ORDINANCE BY THE CITY OF NORTONVILLE, KANSAS OPTING OUT OF THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE UNDERGROUND UTILITY PROTECTION ACT AND AMENDMENTS THERETO.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF NORTONVILLE, KANSAS:

SECTION I. The City of Nortonville, by the power invested in it by the Home Rule Amendment elects to opt out of the provisions of the mandatory requirements of the Underground Utility Protection Act (One Call) and amendments thereto.

SECTION 2. Pursuant to the authority granted to the City of Nortonville, Kansas under the Home Rule Amendment, the City of Nortonville, Kansas does hereby opt out and eliminate the mandatory provisions of the Underground Utility Damage Protection Act (One Call) and amendments thereto.
